why do men pull backWhy do some men pull back and hide from their feelings when they fall in love?

I have a dilemma guys and need a bit of advice.
Why do some men who have been previously hurt in past relationships pull back and hide from their feelings when they find themselves falling in love again? Why do they back off and avoid the woman? What is the best thing to do in this situation - if the woman finds herself then doing the pursuer role and he ignores most of her calls (but still tells her he's interested) should she still run after him and reassure him she loves him or should she back off and let him come to her? If he is used to her initiating all the contact and she suddenly stops would he then think that shes gone off him/doesnt care or would he miss her? What would be an ideal time period to not contact him for to give him some space? DO men get bored if they think theyve "got" a wwhy do men pull backoman (ie take her for granted) if she is always initiating contact and asking how he is and what does she need to do to get his respect? Im confused with this one, Roxy X
I'm in a similar position. It's hard to know the right thing to do, because at the end of the day you should be able to contact your man whenever you want to. Some men though find this too much, for various reasons, and in that situation you have to leave it down to him, or, accept you can't handle being with someone like that and move on.

I've been with my bf for a year and known him 11 years, yet he is still the one who decides when we have contact and when we don't. From the outside it looks like I'm a fool, but when you love someone you hope it'll change one day soon and stay with them.

My advice would to leave it a week with him, why do men pull backwhich is plenty time for him to have no contact with you, then try again if he hasn't got in touch. It really isn't a great way to have a relationship though, and i would say however much you think someone's worth it, heartbreak and worrying about them ignoring you ever so often doesn't do you any good.

i think u r in love with a man and u think he is hiding his love cause he's not proposing or anything. but why dont you go and ask? u think its not common ? ok, so u be the first one in the world to fight for your love, for your feelings and if it was not a true love, so, u have fought for yourself and anyway you are the winner cause u are ready to fight for your desires.
