limewire 4.18.3 free downloadI think i broke my computer from media download?

I only downloaded about 15-18 songs from limewire and about 3-4 vids from real player. my problem is when ever i turn on my computer, about ten minutes after using my computer (from turning on) it willslow down if i have more than 2 windows running my poor little vista laptop will stop working and crash then i have to force it off and then on again. also is there any better way to get free media other than limewire and real player? so i dont get viruses?

As an IT TECH, here is what i recommend u do :

Step #1.
